A friend is moving into a new apartment and reached out to get my opinion on paint colors. She wrote in her email she “loves white but there are like, 100.” I understood. Facing the wall of swatches can be daunting so with summer whites
on the brain, I put together my list of favorite white paints.
My favorites are (in no particular order):
- Decorator’s White from Benjamin Moore
- White Dove from Benjamin Moore
- Anthem White from Valspar
- All White from Farrow & Ball
- Pantone Bright

Before you break out the painting gear, get swatches and tape to your wall. Sleep with them a few days and see how you like them in morning and night. Even better is to paint a small patch but I know that can be a pain. I can’t tell you how many
times I thought one paint was what I wanted but after leaving with the swatch on the walls, I choose another.
A few of my favorite white interiors to inspire.
